It was a good idea (July 3 Opinion Page) to remind us of why we are Americans. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I read The Declaration of Independence. Went to the Mail Drop on Howard Road and made enough copies to mail to my children and grandchildren.

This morning, The Fresno Bee did the same with a picture. I liked the picture, however the spacing of yours made it easier to read.

What was especially memorial was you listed the names of all those intelligent men who risked their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor so that we might be a free people. That made it even more meaningful.
