Web site update
As many have noticed by now, The Madera Tribune has slowed the rate of updates to our main Web site (www.maderatribune.com) and this one. For the moment, the plan is to update the main site once a week if possible, and this one at least once a month.
Even so, any comments submitted here will continue to be moderated and posted here as appropriate, as well as passed on for possible publication in the daily newspaper. Please keep your comments coming.

Regarding a recent article on former Principal Rivard of Madera South High School:
he was not escorted becuse he dident even go to school that day get it right
I am very diappointed with the behavoir of your sports writter Ron Montez at the last Madera High Frosh Football game.
Mr. Montez brother is the quarterback for the Frosh team but some of the comments yelled at varsity head coach Randy Blankenship were uncalled for.
After the game when Mr. Montez confronted Coach Blankenship and told him to leave the Frosh team alone and stick to his own team was shocking.
Is this the kind of behavoir we want to teach our high school athletes is acceptable?
I think not.
Bill Coate had an article in the Tribune on October 23 about the few Hitching Posts left in town.
He missed two of them. They’re on North K Street.
Thanks for putting my name in the paper. I looked up my name on the Internet and it showed me saying I got a single and it was really cool. So thanks for putting me in the paper.
In response to a recent article on the non-profit group Grandmothers of the Light that assists children in visiting their imprisoned mothers:
My husband is in SanQuentin, and I haven’t been able to see him yet.I would love to help out these kids in any way I can.
